Governments Over Citizens

The government should guide the citizens not control them. Citizens should be free and do what they please, but following some rules that the ruler has to make. Governments only need to lead the country so the country is a better place by giving better education or by giving better health. Governments should not have too much control over citizens because if a ruler has all the power and make bad decisions, it will affect more citizens. For example the President Rafael Correa’s power has taken his mind and he has controlled the imports from other countries and this is affecting citizens in a negative way. In conclusion I think that rulers should only give directions and the ones that need to decide are the citizens.

The Truman Show is similar to the control of the rulers over the citizens because the director of the show is controlling this fake town. Cristof the director is controlling everyone so the show is perfect and he wanted a perfect life for Truman. Rafel Correa is taking all the power and is not permitting the import of things to Ecuador. I also think The Truman Show relates to my paragraph because in The Truman Show the director controlled the elements of the city like the fog at night, when the sun comes up, how the waves move, etc. This relates to my paragraph because the ruler controls the citizens constantly. In conclusion in The Truman Show the director makes a bad decision trying to control everything about Truman so he rebels against the director.

My opinion is that the Truman Show is a good example of a ruler controlling their citizens. My finial thought is that directors or rulers should not have so much power over the citizens because being a ruler does not mean you are the center of everything. This means that the ruler should help the citizen’s control the countries so people can communicate and cooperate. Also I think that citizens have the right to protest when they are mistreated. In conclusion I think that citizens should be treated fairly.
